Climate Control
Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to attend a fireside featuring Barbara Barrington Jones as the guest speaker. If you are familiar with Sister Jones and/or any of her books, you know what a great lady she is. I will never forget some of the things she spoke about. One of the most important things that I learned from her is that women are the climate control of the household. It is so true that "when mom isn't happy, no one is happy." She taught us that we have the power to create a peaceful home and interact positively with each member of our family. I believe this with my whole heart. You can truly make a difference for good in the lives of your family. I know I have improved in this area, because I have been focused on her words a lot recently. Now, I'm not saying I dance around the house singing in my white, ironed apron or anything ~ but, I am aware that the tone of my voice and my positive attitude can greatly influence the atmosphere of my home and the Spirit that dwells within it. "May we oft speak kind words to each other."
